About Lorraine

Since a very young age, I knew I had a profound purpose to help and encourage others when they need it most. Everyone has experienced some form of hardships or difficulty at a given point in their life and I believe that one should never be ashamed to seek help. My goal is to create a safe space for my clients where they can freely express themselves, their thoughts and emotions without feeling judged or criticized.

 Respecting each client, for the person they are and what they believe is something I really take to heart. Each day my need to make a difference in the lives of others keeps on growing. 

Lorraine Alger specializes in Trauma and Marriage Counselling. I’m registered as a Counsellor with the Council for Counsellors SA and I’m full time dedicated to Counselling.

I Finished my Diploma in Counselling in 2006 and my Diploma Pastoral Studies in 2008. From 2006 I did counseling under the covering of various congregations. I also ministered at various congregations as a voluntary ordained Pastor. I have always been passionate about people and wanted to assists in improving people’s mental and emotional well-being. I’m the Presiding Pastor at Jesus Factor Ministries in Boksburg and under the covering of Jesus Factor Youth Ministries Pretoria.

From 1996-2011 I worked with Outreach Unlimited were I where involved with Outreaches, Church Planting, Counseling and Leader of a Cell Group.

From 2012 until now I worked at various Churches as an ordained Volunteering Pastor, (Maranatha Pta, AFM Farrarmere Benoni and Jesus Factor Ministries Pta) where I did counselling.
